Beating Seahawks in Seattle

Y! SPORTS

Of course the media gives us absolutely no chance of beating Seattle there should we meet in the playoffs - no surprise after MNF.

However, I post this because I have thought for the past handful of weeks that Carolina and SF would be the #5 or #6 seed and one of them would get to make the trip to Seattle if we lost to the Seahawks.

We just need to clinch the South (and thus the #2 seed) and we will be fine.

I see us getting the #5 seed in the Dome and the #6 taking out Seattle in an upset, thus letting us host the NFCCG as long as we beat the #5 seed.

Seattle is beatable ... But u have to have your sh*t together no turnovers early n the game it's hard to comeback from that ....

Re: Beating Seahawks in Seattle

So let me get this straight.

We've gone from "if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best" to, now we are hoping that someone else can take care of our business for us and handle Seattle, hoping that we get lucky in the scheduling.

M'kay.

We can win the Superbowl this year and if we don't go through Seattle to do it I still won't be fully satisfied. They just sweetened the deal.

I'd love nothing better than a return trip to Seattle where we kick their butts up between their shoulders, but if they lose and we get to possibly host the NFCCG, I won't shed any tears for the Seahawks.

Just saying it is not automatic that the Seahawks are the NFC rep in the Superbowl like all the talking heads have already proclaimed...

And I would add that the best team doesn't always win - see NYG 2011.

That team would have had its rear handed to it if we had held on against the 49ers. No way they make it out of the Superdome to face NE and I don't think they cared too much about us losing and their road being easier.

We go through it every year, someone will beat them in the playoffs, my hope is thats its the 49ers which I think will beat them in Seattle and we face the 49ers in the NFCCG.

We CAN win in Seattle. We must make NO mistakes, especially early. We would have had momentum on Monday had we not had the dropsies... again.

Were these the same talking heads that predicted a Failclowns-Texans Super Bowl?
