Jimmy Graham, please

jimmy i know u are still our top receiver , and i hope u are a part of this organization as long as u feel comfortable with front office etc. the point i'm trying to put forth is that u are not happy, somethings wrong jimmy, i've seen u catch balls that are not even close to even put effort to try and grab it and not only u catch the ball of that nature u put on a clinic doing it. somethings not right jimmy. i'm sure u know this is ur contract year, making an impact is still important jimmy, don't give loomis an excuse to give u a pep talk. u have to remember your the man, your big daddy on this field. i'm just saying its grab your balls time bro, cold, hot, snow or rain CATCH TFB MAN. Our first downs are going by the wayside, you need to lead your fellow W.O. S. Show them how its done jimmy, we have good young talent on this team man. show them how to grab a ball jimmy, one hand two handers under ur dam arm. get it done jimmy and the rest will follow, please jimmy we need u man.

No like button because it's posted in the "Website Support" forum, which is incorrect. Moving to the Saints forum where this belongs.

The only thing worse than a drop in a contract year is an injury.

Maybe it's because he is injured and realizes that if he is going to be in this league for any length of time he needs to be careful about which blows he is willing to take for a play that could go for a minimum gain. I would rather he have a Gonzo type career than a Shocky type. I think they have reined him back a bit for the sake of his longevity. Take the punishing hits on big plays that make a difference. On other plays try and catch it with the least amount of punishment. I'm not talking about taking plays off or tanking them but just playing smart.

That cr4p goes out the window when Seattle has you 27-7 at the half; and by "out the window" I mean through the window if it isn't open.

What happened to Jimmy in the red zone? Have they even tried a fade or jump ball to him this year? He's 6'7" take advantage of it

Our receivers forgot how to catch. The RB's do a good job.

I agree. Jimmy is getting a bad rap right now and the pats fans especially are calling him soft.

When we get in the redzone a lot of times I see Jimmy on the sidelines and I see Josh Hill in the game and i'm like WTF! Jimmy's the man but when he is hurt he is a different person

Re: Jimmy Graham, please

It Drew can hit the cross-bars there is no reason Jimmy can't catch it. I'm surprised we do not have a play exactly like that.

The Dude 12-06-2013 11:35 PM

Re: Jimmy Graham, please

None of our receivers have been doing very well this year. Drew is not as accurate this year either. When he is not accurate you see how our receivers are good but not great. An accurate Brees makes them look twice as good as they actually are.
I think Drew took a few hits early on in the season that may have stuck with him and lingered through the year. I wouldnt be surprised if he has been playing a little dinged up and we dont hear about it until after the season. Graham gets a pass because of his injury. That injury does not just heal on its own if you are playing on it every week.

Re: Jimmy Graham, please

i know this sounds nuts and will be scarfed upon

This year despite the passing production of the offense i have to grade the effort level of the WR and TE as C-.

alligator arms have been way to common in way to many games
the extra effort also seems to be on down slide when battling for the ball
route running seems to be a bit lazier than in the past..

they seems to have lost attitude. getting up and making a first down call is not attitude it is one of the stupidest things i think that has devoloped in pro ball. do it when you ice a game or driving to win. in the second qtr with a lead you look like a punk idiot in my book. oppps back on topic sorry

i have been disappointed in the over all effort of the veteran WR. Injuries or not the extra effort i am use to seeing is just not there. they do not seem hungry or they are protecting themselves for the big pay day to come. what ever it is it is poor play.

we blame the line but i also need to point this out as a factor that defends that OL a bit. just a bit. a small tiny bit

are we just getting lazy and expect things to come easy?

i say start looking for younger hungrier players in the off season or in the draft and free agency. maybe job security will relight a fire in them.

Re: Jimmy Graham, please

Jimmy needs to think about it this way:
Another loss or two and we'll be out of the running.
Jimmy has not had a STELLAR year, with all the drops.

Jimmy will not get paid.

Jimmy needs to consider these things…

I wouldn't throw stones if I were the pats, that TE of theirs is about as soft as baby sh*t

Looks like Gronk is now out with an MCL & ACL. So, worse than soft -- gone. :-)

I don't agree. If you look at the games where the Saint's O has struggled, passing accuracy was not the issue. In most of those games the receivers were not able to get separation. Part of that is due to timing and a strong pass rush. But looking at the Seattle game, I can't recall a single uncontested reception. Brees was threading the needle all night but even the quick slants were blanketed.

This thread looks like a bunch of whining for no reason... Whine about Jimmy in the red-zone, but he ends the game tied 10th in receiving yards and 14 TDs. Whine about our receivers and Colston goes off for 125
