An ARMY adage fits here: We need to tighten the phuck up on all fronts.

2013 New Orleans Saints Statistics & Players - Pro-Football-Reference.com
A quick scan of game performance shows a few things.

Drew hasn't had a 300 yard game since Dallas.. Atlanta should have been.
Our Running game is sporadic at best.
Pass defense has been tight with the exception of Chicago and Seattle. (wouldn't know it from the threads around here)
Run Defense is hit and miss.
Turn Overs fell off after Buffalo for the defense
Turn Overs increased after Buffalo for the offense

It is just flat out inconsistent football. With the remaining schedule, and possibilities in the post season we must start playing consistently... If we do not start playing consistent football, the rest of the season may not be ugly, but it will not be pretty either.

Win the turnover battle and you win the game. Sound simple.

In 2009 all we did all we did was generate turnovers and we'd complain that there was not enough stops. in 2013 all we do is stop drives and we complain that there is not enough turnovers. Will we ever be happy?

No, certain posters won't unless we win by 3 scores every game.

A few are unhappy after a win.

I'm also noticing several posts about us being unable to win it all, which I think is very shortsighted. ;)

This is not a drought, this is moving your trailer to the dirt road at the halfway point in Death Valley for the summer.

Below is a copy of the Giants 2011 run which includes some dubious losses earlier in the year.

If they can do it, why can we not?

Well, those 2011 Giants didn't average a whopping 10 points fewer on the road than they did at home. That's significant. I'd also love to know what the Giants' stats were on 3-and-outs, on offense that year. It's hard for people wearing black and gold goggles to understand it, but on the road this year, the Saints offense are very AVERAGE -- as in, middle of the pack, ordinary, 20-21 points per game -- they've been really nothing special on the road, outside the Superdome... And now with having to win multiple games on the road almost certain, and with a Super Bowl outdoors up North in January, and with several other teams that are offensively moving the ball and scoring points much better than the Saints right now... the Saints can do it, but once they leave the comforts of the Superdome it will involve reversing every single trend they've shown on the road so far this year. Even against Atlanta their production was marginal at best.
