I knew it would happen eventually - tied several times.

I am happy for Prater - but sorta sad somehow. That record stood for a long time. and made me a saints fan.

Re: And the Record Falls

43 Years it stood. I was 7 at the time - living in Atlanta - the ONLY thing I knew about the Saints is they were the only team younger than the Falcons AND worse than the Falcons.

So with underdog status I see a disabled man not only break but shatter the worlds record to win the game in the final seconds - I got choked up and swore my allegiance.

I knew it would fall eventually but it is one of the longest standing significant records.

Asterick. Any kicking feat in Denver. Dempsey did it without that adjustment.

Re: And the Record Falls

great win tonight - important - I get it... but still no mention of the boot in tonight's game? (that I heard please correct me) I think it is easily a top ten record, play and human interest story in the NFL - and it got nothing.

glad we beat our (yawn) division rival - but THE BOOT got nothing? NOTHING?
