Re: Week 15 Power Rankings
This Week's Rank: 1
Last Week's Rank: 2 Know this: The NFL is weird. One week after being beaten handily by the Seattle Seahawks, the New Orleans Saints move into the No. 1 overall spot. Thanks to a loss by Seattle and the Saints' win over the fifth-ranked Carolina Panthers, they're actually deserving of the spot. One week ago, who would have thought this possible? The Saints didn't just win on Sunday night, they dominated a very good Carolina team. Drew Brees was magical against the Panthers defense. Not only that, but the rag-tag Rob Ryan defense in New Orleans also kept Cam Newton quiet all night long. This was a defining moment for the Saints and proof that they're a legitimate Super Bowl threat if the road to the NFC Championship runs through the Superdome. |

I do like the Rag-Tag D name, other than that not much.

Re: Week 15 Power Rankings
It's nice that someone has us at number one and I think we all knew the Saints were better than what they showed last monday. But strictly as a matter of principle I can't justify being ranked ahead of the team that beat us and has a better record than us, even after losing on sunday. When it all shakes out, we might end up being the better team, but until that is proven I can't make sense of these rankings.

Power Rankings are not about records, that is what standings are for. Its about overall power.... the complete team. Being 6th on Offense and Defense and no other team above us in both.... |
