How did y'all manage to overlook the Grits Blitz?

How do you get Grits from our team? How is it unique?

Our defense is still not shut down enough to give it a name...

That said, Gallett, and Jordan have amasses the below statistics and both being in the top 15 (more than any other team) do warrant a name.

Combined stats for Gallett and Jordan:
Jordan is #1 in sacks for a 4-3 DE
Gallett has the 6th most sacks for a 4-3 OLB

21 sacks
22 QB hits
72 QB hurries
4 Batted passes
1.2 penalties between them

Our bookends are massive.

In week 15 power rankings, I think we might have got a name, Rag-Tag D, I like it.

I kind of liked The Dome Patrol.

For the record:

The group of Olsen, Deacon Jones, Grier, and <don't remember his name> was dubbed The Fearsome Foursome, which BTW, weren't the original Fearsome Foursome.

The original "Monsters of the Midway" played in the 1940's. It is a nickname that resurfaces every now and then when the Bears have a good defense.

Gang Green is the nickname of the entire Jets team, not just the defense or a defensive unit, and it was originally a derogatory nickname (I guess it still is, but with a kind of tone of endearment to it)

The Hogs was the nickname of the Redskins offensive line, not the defense.

And finally, who the heck gave the Pat's defense the nickname Homeland Defense? Should be taken to the back of the shed and shot (someone go grab Peter King).

It has nothing to do with our team. It was a reference to names of other defenses posted by railboss. You must be younger than I thought. ;)

Amen! Let the rest of the league worry about naming the freight train that just ran over them. If you nickname yourself it's a joke.

WHO DAT!!!

How about we give a nickname for those that want to give us a nickname.

Little Nickies?
