NFC Playoff worries
I know that if we play our A-game, there's not a team in the NFC that can beat us, but there are a few teams that match up well against us that I'd rather not face if possible.
Of all the playoff contenders, here's a list of teams I wouldn't mind get knocked out before we play them. Ain't skeered of any of them, just my personal preferences. 1. San Fran - Yeah, we beat them already but they're the kind of team that would give us fits even in the dome. 2. Carolina- Division foes with a good defense are always serious threats. Defenses travel well. 3. Arizona - Its one of those teams coming on strong, good defense with an improving offense. They are trending upward. 4. Philly - Coming on strong with an unconventional offense, which typically give us fits. The unknown factor bothers me about them. Teams I'd rather play in the 2nd round Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Green Bay |

Re: NFC Playoff worries
I agree with that list.
1. 39ers- I believe they are dirty enough to try and intentionally injure Brees to win. 2. Carolina- It is hard to sweep a division team; beating them 3 times would be hard. 3. Cardinals- They seem to be peaking at right time. 4. Eagles- You are right about unconventional offense; see RGIII's rookie game against Saints. Saints would destroy the other 4 teams in the play-offs |

I want Detroit. We already beat 3 teams on that list, and its hard to beat good teams twice in the NFL. In the case of the Panthers, 3 times perhaps? But I feel like Detroit could only threaten us with Megatron and Reggie.

Re: NFC Playoff worries
Its crazy, we've beaten most of the playoff contending teams, yet some say we haven't played anybody.

Reggie would most likely shred the Saints D like all ex-Saints seem to do

Re: NFC Playoff worries
The D frees me up from a lot of worries @ home... I think you need SF to stay in the sixth seed and I would take my chances against the rest of the field@ the Benz!!!
You let SF@SEA slug it out #handleyourbusiness @ home and await the winner of the slugfest... Eliminate your mistakes from the first game and you can beat SF @ home... Or pray that we play better and they are still hazy from playing SF and we can steal one!!! |

Re: NFC Playoff worries
I think either Carolina or San Fran would be a good game against the 'Hags... Both have physical run games...

Re: NFC Playoff worries
I am watching Seattle tackle and I don't want any part of them again -- two and three and four guys, flying to the ball on EVERY play. I do not understand why people think we would do so well against them if we faced them again, in Seattle. AND they are getting it done on the road today in cold weather.
Sorry for the buzzkill, but I think any team in the playoffs could beat us easily, if we're on the road. And I do mean any team. There's not a team in the NFC that can beat us in the Dome, we will blow them out, and I'll be there cheering. But outside the Dome? Color me skeptical. I just don't see us winning a game against a quality opponent in the cold weather on the road with this team. Including the Super Bowl outdoors in New York in February. Sorry, guys. |

The Giants defense on the other hand has held it's own against the 'Hags offense |
