I wonder why the official didn't flag the Rams for this late hit

The Saints STUNK yesterday, they were sloppy and undisciplined and disorganized, and the refs called them on it. You want the refs to give the Saints a bunch of easy breaks, and coddle them, just because they are playing badly? That's not how it works.
Did you look at the video I posted?

Show me where I posted that I want the refs to give the Saints easy breaks or coddle them when they play badly!! Hell, if they did that, the damn Superdome would be filled with Lombardi Trophies!!

All I said is that the refs were very inconsistent on calling penalties.

Re: I wonder why the official didn't flag the Rams for this late hit

The video you posted showed Malcolm Jenkins commiting a personal foul....the contact and then PUSHING the guy violently when the play is over and the runner is already WELL on the white border, which is out of bounds....that is a personal foul and will be called ninety nine out of a hundred times...Then he gets inadvertently bumped by a Rams player who is running while Jenkins is slowing down, which the Rams player can't control....the Rams guy is actually slowed to jogging, bumps into Jenkins, and immediately has his hands out, apologizing and helping Jenkins up. There is nothing malicious or excessive about the contact.... but the earlier contact of Jenkins PUSHING the Rams guy who is already out of the field of play and the play is over....the PUSH -- THAT is the flag....stop watching the clip after that, forget the second Rams player....I'm sorry, but they will call that every time.

I'll say it again: I think in this case you have become a homer, and confused "inconsistent" with, one team playing well and the other playing badly.

Re: I wonder why the official didn't flag the Rams for this late hit

I think Jenkins actually probably pushed the guy down, because of the frustration of the stiff arm in his face mask seconds earlier -- which was perfectly legal by the Rams runner. So since he pushed him down as a reaction when the guy was already WELL out of bounds, on the whole it was a very very dumb, very emotional play by Jenkins, really stupid and cost his team yardage in the worst possible spot of the field. If the Saints want to play sloppy and undisciplined football like that on the road, while the other team plays better football, then the refs will be there with the "inconsistent" flags for you all day, you'll see them everywhere.

I am not talking about that penalty; I knew he was going to get a PF as soon as he shoved the guy.

The video shows Jenkins running a Rams player out of bounds; he NEVER touched the guy!

Jenkins has stopped and is standing past the white line when another Rams player runs in and shoves him in the back into the woman.

The official is facing the players, sees it happening and doesn't throw a flag.
