Finally I think we have two CB that can play man coverage. Did you guys see the way that Fakhir played the only reason that he allowed a TD is because he slipped. He stayed glued to him man most of the day. And as for McKenzie he looked like he is really going to make an impact he had a few pass beak-ups and was good in coverage too. But the highlight of the game to me was when Kerry Collins tried the fade route and Fakhir was all over it and the analyst said “I don’t know why they keep throwing at him (Fakhir) he’s been there in coverage all day. So what do you guys think of the play of these two guys?

It rained all day Saturday in Oakland and the field was extremely slip........I saw Thomas, Brown and Bellamy slip..(2 led to big plays)..........watch how they perform at the Chargers....I think the rest of the D will start to follow........What was up with the D line?..............no sacks...........

What encouraged me about the starting CBs yesterday was (except for the slips) even when passes were completed, Fakir and Mike were all over their guys. How many times this year have we seen Ambrose actually providing tight coverage? Once? Maybe. He is always 5 yards behind his man or playing 10 yards off. It also looks like the bling Thomas got this offseason is weighing him down. He looks slower than ever.

I know it had rained and the field was slippery, but it looked like the secondary had cleats on made by Chiquita. Three of those slips led to big plays. Take those away, and Collins doesn\'t throw for over 300 yards. However, I was very impressed with McKenzie for only his 2nd start in the Saints system. He plays the run and the short pass extremely well. I like how he up-ended Doug Jolley on the little out pass and he basically flipped him over his head. MM will do nothing but improve. Hope he sticks around. As for Fahkir Brown, I\'m glad to see he got the start. He played exceptional and it\'s about time we had corners this season that did. Other than the slip when Jerry Porter scored, he was all over his man. He hawked the ball just like I\'ve seen him do in the past. Hopefully Haslett saw this, too, and will keep him in the starting line-up. Good job secondary.

People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.

It was odd to be more worried about what was up with the D-line rather than the secondary. Felt pretty good about those guys for the most part. I still like Watson at LB. We need more kids that play with fire like he and Karney. Our line (both sides) was atrocious. Why is it that Hand and Jackson do nothing but eat and get fat on our watch, then go to two different teams (seattle and green bay) and play like we asked them to?

Still, Brown did impress me. I only hope we take full advantage of this bye week to get right.
