Re: Coach Payton discusses tonight's loss to the St. Louis Rams
Yeah Brown and Hartley. He is pissed. Sucks to be a player this week. He's going to kick the **** out of them.

Those two are gone by the end of the year. So gone, that they need to go ahead and let their landlord know they are moving so they don't get a lease agreement fee.
I didn't get to see or hear the game. But after listening to the post game show... damn. |

Never heard Payton this frustrated.

Brown gave up 2 penalties, 2 sacks, 2 Qb hits.
Strief - 9 HUs. Bryce Harris 1/2 as many snaps as Grubs and Strief ... 1 sack, 1 hit, 4 HUs. So in answer to "could it get worse"? Yes... Harris did just as much damage in 1/2 the snaps. |

Re: Coach Payton discusses tonight's loss to the St. Louis Rams
I think we all knew the O line needed to be upgraded as much a the defense did. It's hard to upgrade both when you have LIMITED CAP SPACE and draft picks. We did great in the draft with what we had, but IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE MORE CAP SAPCE to use on the O line. We have a great coach, a great QB, good TE's, good WR's, and goodRB's but yet when our O line started to diminish, so did our offense. Its no secret that when our O line plays good,we consistantly put up points in the 30's and 40's.

Re: Coach Payton discusses tonight's loss to the St. Louis Rams
He should be pissed. He has gone to bat for head-case Hartley all season, but enough is enough. The Saints struggle all day to try put points on the board, are trying to mount an impossible comeback, and Hartley kills the momentum with a chip shot miss.
Not that the Saints even slightly deserved a chance to win, but stranger things have happened. |
