New Orleans Saints left tackle Charles Brown may have lost his starting spot after Sunday's lackluster performance against the St. Louis Rams, in which he was benched in third quarter.

But if that is the case, Saints coach Sean Payton didn't tip his hand Monday as the team began preparations for this Sunday's road game at Carolina.

"There is not going to be any specific decision," Payton said Monday via teleconference with the media at the Saints' practice facility. "We'll look closely at our options. In fairness to him, I think there were a lot of things we didn't do well in that game."

But the failures of Brown against end Robert Quinn were the most glaring during Sunday's 27-16 upset loss. Brown gave up two sacks to Quinn, whose hit on Drew Brees on the opening play of the game resulted in an interception.
