Panthers looking for revenge against QB Drew Brees and Saints
The Carolina Panthers sacked New Orleans QB Drew Brees just twice in the first game after they were unable to get a consistent pass rush from its front four.
The Panthers changed the game plan in the second half, increasing their pressure by blitzing Brees in the second half. Going into the biggest game of the year in the NFC South, the Panthers want revenge for a 31-13 loss against the Saints at the Superdome on Dec. 8. "That seemed to help us, to get him moving his feet and get him to throw the ball a little bit quicker," Rivera said., via Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer. "If you give him time – you give him an opportunity to sit back there and find his throwing lanes, he’s very, very effective." "Statistically, you know (Brees) is pretty darned good against the blitz. We knew it going in last time. We know it going in this time," defensive coordinator Sean McDermott said. "Most great quarterbacks are better when you blitz them because they want to see it. They want to get the ball out and into the receivers’ hands. Drew’s no different," McDermott added. "We’ll have to be smart. We’ll have to cover well if and when we do blitz. But as we all know, to let a great quarterback sit back there and pick you apart, that’s not the way to go, either. It’s a real slippery slope." Panthers looking for revenge against QB Drew Brees and Saints | 60 Max Power O - Pro Football News, Coverage and Analysis |

they can look all they want. i think the saints will be out to win the division and get that freaking road worn monkey off their back.
they paid the price nationally for over looking the rams and falling face first into that trap. this is a game about pride and character for both teams. |

The sports 'experts' diss the Saints for playing better at home than on the road, and the PEDhawks are doing the exact same!! The PEDhawks are averaging 32 points a game at home (same as the Saints) On the road they are averaging 23 points on the road, (the Saints are averaging 18) |

We normally have been a good road team until this year we have been exceptional. A lot of other teams are just as bad or worst. Seattle has just been better this year. I was disapointed this week but now its time to right the ship and I think these guys can do it.

Goodell will make sure that whatever good we do, we will get no praise for it.

Because the Seahawks are not 2-6 in games below 40 degrees Because the Seahawks just beat the Giants 23-0 in a game they didn't need to win, and the Saints got completely embarrassed and dismantled by the Rams in a game that could have won them home field Because the very stat you cite about points per game, shows that one is a good team on the road and the other is not -- 23 is GOOD, 18 is middling to mediocre -- of the top 3 or 4 playoff teams in each conference, can you name any others who score that little, on the road - most are in the mid 20s. Because the Saints lost to the Jets and the Panthers blew out the Jets Seahawks are better in point differential of victory on the road -- they win by more points and lose by less Seahawks are better on 3rd down defense on the road Seahawks are better on turnovers on the road I could go on but thankfully I'll stop. You keep pumping the sunshine about the Saints as a road team, and the fact is that THIS YEAR they are just NOT a very good team on the road, in fact they're barely average. There's simply nothing scary or intimidating about them once you take them out of the Superdome. Do you think the Panthers are SCARED of the Saints right now? They're not. They're licking their chops. We'll see if Payton can right the ship and get it going. Until the Saints win some convincing games on the road (and I hope they do) the label will stick. |

Two road beat downs in the last three weeks?
I would say the Saints have something to prove. |
