I want to see them run that play they ran once or twice during the Seattle game, I don't think I've seen it since. It was basically, every tight end on the roster, lined up to one side, with a big O lineman in the backfield as a blocker (not Jed Collins, it was a real lineman, I don't remember who). Then they gave it to Pierre and did a variation of the old flying wedge play -- four or five guys, they just violently plowed everybody into one side of the Seahawks line, taking them out, road grading -- and Pierre broke it for nine yards. It looked like a 1920s football play. Gruden was loving it. Does anybody else remember this play?

If things start looking bad, like when it got ugly against Seattle, they should just keep doing THAT play over and over, until they make the Panthers or Seahawks find a way to stop it. Then go back to passing.

Hope rookie is ready, there may be several different Blitz packages to see how he handles it and to see if anyone free gets picked up.

I wonder will they switch the better players to his side to create a possible mismatch. What's Terrons weaknesses and strengths?

No one knows his weaknesses or strengths except our coaches, so its a gamble for Carolina.

Analysis

Strengths

Armstead is a fantastic athlete for the position. He is light on his feet in pass protection, and nimble when on the move. Agile, moves well in space, shows the quickness to get to the second level and cut off linebackers. Has been asked to pull all the way across the line and has shown effectiveness in doing so. Bends and redirects well. Extends his arms to keep pass rushers at bay. Not overwhelmed by defensive twists and stunts. Does a good job of selling play fakes, draws, and screens. Weaknesses

Needs to improve lower body strength. Can get bull rushed back. Faced sub-par competition. Needs to speed up hands, and be more consistent with his aiming point. Gets to the second level quickly, but will struggle to locate his target, gets lost in space. Will lunge at defenders with his head down in the run game. NFL Comparison

Duane Brown Bottom Line

Armstead has been a fast riser in the postseason process. He's got an intriguing athletic skill set. Despite facing sub-par competition in season, he's shown the ability to be a good pass protector, and contribute as a run blocker. He can likely stay outside, although some teams might see him as a guard. He could find himself as a Day 2 pick before all is said and done.

Well he should have been going against our 1's in practice so he should be OK.

I understand the move. But, Brown is less of the problem and more of a message to the whole team.

Just don't see why this move wasn't made sooner, time for Armsteand to sink or swim
