Mort reports carter out six weeks
Saw six weeks , based on no further slips , and his rehab program .
So if they were nice they would , count it from the actual incident and he could play game 1 . What ever happened to a mans right for a speedy trial ?? He was not even drunk , it would be one thing if it was drinking and driving but it was not . It was not even regular season . This is example time for the league and the Saints are getting bent over . |

The indefinite suspension of New Orleans Saints cornerback Dale Carter could be as short as the first six games of the regular season, according to team and league sources. The team has been told that Carter could return in Week 7 if he has no other slip-ups, sources said. Under that scenario, Carter would be eligible to play Oct. 20 when the Saints host the 49ers. Denver\'s investment in Dale Carter didn\'t pay off. Carter was suspended indefinitely on Friday as a five-time violator of the NFL\'s substance-abuse program. He ended an 18-month suspension after the 2001 season and was released by the Denver Broncos. The Saints signed the former Pro Bowl cornerback to a seven-year, $7 million contract with a $3 million signing bonus in March. Saints sources say that after Carter signed the deal, he bought a six-pack of beer at a convenience store and consumed three of them. His drug counselor appeared at his residence the next morning and spotted the beer cans on Carter\'s coffee table, prompting an immediate test. Carter\'s blood-alcohol level registered 0.06, below the legal limit in New Orleans but a clear violation of his zero-tolerance stipulation upon his reinstatement by commissioner Paul Tagliabue. Nevertheless, Carter\'s progress in the substance-abuse program had been promising enough to warrant his return to the field, if he stays clean with a good medical evaluation, sources said. Needless to say, there are no guarantees. |

A six pack of beer to celebrate , drinks three and gets nailed til week 7 . Cool , Darrel Russel gets nailed for marijuana and gets 4 games .I like the way this system works so far , 3 beers = 6 weeks , spark a fattie = 4 weeks . Not to mention his ecstacy fun time .Griese Dui\'s = nothing . Really feelin the love on this one .
