Updated Weather Report
Well, it looks as though the weather forecast for today's game in Charlotte may have improved a bit. According to the latest hourly updates available on weather.com, it should stay mostly precipitation-free until about 4 p.m., by which time the game will likely be over.
It's supposed to be mostly cloudy for much of the game, with the temperature reaching a high point of 74 degrees, which is very high for this time of year. There will be gusts of wind reaching up to 19 mph, so Shayne Graham will have his work cut out for him. In any case, Geaux Saints!!! Re: Updated Weather Report
If it holds, that's great news.
On the other hand, if the weather gets there a little faster and it opens up in a torrential downpour sometime in the 4th quarter, that will benefit whichever team is AHEAD at the time (similar to how the weather and field got progressively worse as the game went on in Chicago NFCCG). That could go either way. I'd much rather be up by 10 in a downpour with our defense than down by 10 with our offense and our running game in that weather. But I could totally see Jimmy Graham slogging through the rain for a TD, if he catches a deep ball and makes that first guy slip. Both kickers will have to kick in it too. Who the frick knows at this point. THEN if there is an agonizing lightning/storm delay in the 4th quarter similar to the one in the Tampa game in the 1st quarter, or the Super Bowl blackout -- if we're ahead and they stop this game in Charlotte with like four minutes left to play and make them all go back to the locker rooms for two hours or something.....I don't know what I'll do. I'll scream bloody murder. |

Re: Updated Weather Report
The wind is the problem. Definitely favors the running game.
