I am a fan. That doesn't make me delusional. IMHO we will get nowhere in the playoffs. We are overmatched on the OL. Not being able to run the ball at the end of games is a fatal flaw . A NYTHING CAN HAPPEN in the playoffs. I wouldn't bet on the Saints chances this year.

But that's crazy talk. Look, we lost. But we were in no way or shape out matched in Carolina. We beat SF and hold tie breakers over most of the rest of the NFC. Seattle lost at home in Week 16. I would be more scared if I were a Seaweed fan. KC lost when they needed it most. I would be more scared if I was a Chefs fan. Detroit. Well, sorry SloMo. I would be sad to be a Lions fan. Chicago got pummeled. I would be more scared to be a Bears fan. Green Bay had it in the bag and lost. I would be more scared to be a GB fan.

Saints have a slingshot chance to turn this thing around. And there are some positives. For instance, it will be really fun to win in an opponents stadium and watch the shocked crowd. Oh, and it looks like I may not have to spend money on playoff tickets. :greendevil:

Atlanta definitely wants to win.
But they definitely don't want us having that seed.
Poor dirty birds.

Rock and a hard place.

That's a hard one for them. They will be coming off a defeat, Tony G's last game, wanting to deflate Cam, and wanting to go out on a positive note will probably trump their hatred of us.

I appreciate the optimism, but I would like to know which specific teams people here think we can beat on the road in the playoffs, when we are averaging just 13 points a game on the road these days. WHO exactly do you visualize us beating with 13 points of offensive production, and no defensive or special teams scoring. Explain to me how that will work. I am all ears.

We've had TEN scoreless quarters since week 11, ten, no points scored, zero, completely zipped and shut out. Seattle by contrast, has had 5 in the same time span.

Our defense is good, but is it THAT good, to hold a playoff caliber team like the Seahawks or 49ers or Bears to ONE touchdown, at their home stadium, in the playoffs of all places? Even the Packers without Aaron Rodgers are averaging around 22 points per game at Lambeau.

People here keep saying that other teams "don't want to play the Saints in the playoffs," I look around the league and I think it's quite the opposite -- I think other teams are chomping at the bit to get us in their house in the playoffs, they can't wait for us to get there. Almost any team can score more than 13 points at home. Sorry, that just isn't scaring anybody right now.
