Saints sign kicker derek dimke a ufda in 2012 by lions out of illinois signed for 2014 season 5/11/180

Professional career

Detroit Lions

On April 30, 2012, He signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent. On August 27, 2012, He was released.

New York Jets

Dimke signed with the New York Jets on April 11, 2013. He was released on May 12, 2013.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Dimke was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on June 4, 2013, he was later cut on August 31st, 2013.

If you look how most kickers on nfl rosters they have several stops with teams before they earn a spot.As we know saints scouts are good of finding ufda players.Esp. as the kicker signed to take hartleys spot is 36.
