Re: Coming clean- anyone else?
Well, I'm glad it's worked out and I really like that he keeps it real with the local watering holes; that said...
If it weren't for injuries to Will Smith and Kenyon Coleman, I wonder if Glenn Foster and Tyrunn Walker would have gotten the opportunities... The one thing I was excited about was the commitment to play Kenny Vaccaro as they have, as well as create opportunities for Rafael Bush; it took an outsider to come in and explain to Payton (who's loyal to his players to a fault) that Harper and Jenkins are horrible in coverage... Guess we'll watch and see how he and defense progresses in both this post season and offseason moves... |

No way I hated it with the way we went lst year.
No way I thought we would do so well. I thought maybe 6 or so plaecs better and he was doing good. Now I got that real wrong. |

Liked the signing of Ryan. Wasn't thrilled with drafting Vaccaro.

Re: Coming clean- anyone else?
If you had no concerns about Rob you either didn't care or are a visionary.
There was nothing in his resume (genes yes, resume no) to tell anyone he could field a top 5 defense. Hell.... I don't know of a swinging dik that knew we had top 4 personnel, much less a coach. To be #2 in the league in passing defense was unimaginable. Don't be hard on your self.... Even Rob would have laughed if you told him where we would end up. |
Re: Coming clean- anyone else?
I admit I wasn't thrilled about the hire either. I had him pictured as this blustery guy and hes really not.
