Reason for optimism, Keith's got some
Keep hearing about how the Eagles are the highest scoring team in the NFL the last 8 games of the season. So you know that is when I like to go see who exactly the played. Let Keith tell you.
They played the 22nd, 25th, 30, 31, and 32nd ranked defenses in 5 of those 8. Yes, that's right they played the three worse defenses in the league. They also played the 18th and 16th. So 7 of their 8 games were against the bottom half of defenses. Who were these teams? Redskins, Raiders, Packers (no AR),Bears, Vikings, Cowladies, Detroit (in a blizzard), and the Cards, their most impressive win all season. Conversely we played 4 games against the top 3 of the top 5 defenses (would be top 4, but we are ranked 4th) Panties twice, seahawks, and 49ers. We also played the 15th ranked Rams D too. Ya know we really played some god damn good defenses this year. 6 games against 6 of the top 10 teams, and we played the 11th and 15th defenses too. Oh and the Patriots had a lot better D when we played them |
Your team stinks

My goodness how lucky are we that San Fran hit that FG against the Cards.... have you seen the temps in GB?
BTW- I wanted the Cards to win, oh thank goodness |

Yes... factoring in the wind chill, it's supposed to be near what alcohol freezes, -40F... actually close enough, -20F was reported. That's colder than a Witch's Nipple!

Finally, a tiny amount of help from other teams. OK, with those temps -- I wouldn't want to be the 49ers. Actaully, I wouldn't want to be GB either. Damn.

I have seen the saints play at the Link before - we won - tough crowd - but I am hopeful that we do well early - their notorious fans will turn on them fast!
