Change things up ...
It is what Sean Payton is doing to help get the road monkey off the back of our Saints. Are any of you doing the same?
I am going as far as adding new furniture and moving other vital game time items into new positions. But, I am also considering wearing a different pair of my Saints' socks. Is that carrying it too far? Please help me here. |
Re: Change things up ...
I did it! My traditional Saints sock on my right foot and one of my other cold weather versions on my left.
I now have the perfect setup for those cold weather games. Who Dat!!! |
Re: Change things up ...
I watched the entire 2nd half standing on the same spot cuz that td drive happened when I stood up there.

Popeye's, three piece spicy with red beans and a biscuit. I'll be there again next weekend.

It's possible that there may be only a handful of people here who will realize and appreciate what a BRILLIANT strategy Payton used on this.
He took the enormous gigantic monkey on the Saints back, and turned it into something funny, comical, a joke and something to be mocked -- changing the Gatorade flavor, the sweat suits, the Popeye's, the beefy mac formula, it was just hilarious. And he played it to the hilt, getting the media to cover it. Kept talking about it, all week long. Deadpan serious. We are going with lemon-lime. Almost NO ONE in the media was talking about the actual Saints team or what they might actually do on the field. As a MANAGER or COACH, what he really did was, he instantly took the weight and reponsibility, pressure and hype OFF the team - ESPECIALLY off the veteran players like Drew -- and made it into something light, something funny they could ALL joke about. The result? The loosest, best, most dynamic Saints football that we may have seen on the road all year, maybe since '09. This is an INCREDIBLE piece of management, coaching, personal motivation, whatever you want to call it. This was one of his biggest most brilliant gambits ever. I loved it. Hats off to Payton on this one. |
