this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Hmmm.........We have PT, Sproles, Robinson, Cadet and Ingram. That is a crowded back field. Someone is moving to another team next year. The question is will we get anything from it?...

No way we let go of sproles. He was having an awesome year early on. Not sure why we got away from that. If anyone goes it should be Cadet. He is rarely used and I forget he's on the team half the time.

I still think the most likely one to get traded (if any) is Ingram. I have become a fan of Ingram, and I wouldn't mind at all if he stayed on the team, but Thomas and an emerging Khiry (with the occasional Sproles) is enough to get the job done in my personal opinion. |

Re: Mark ingram and running game
Mark is running well because he's learned how to play in NFL and because the O Line is playing much better. Earlier in the year none of our backs could gain yards because there weren't any holes. Same goes for PT. Why isn't his supposed lack of speed effecting his productivity in the passing game?
And as for Sproles watch him in this play. He's as much responsible for this TD as the receiver. Remember when we used to talk about how valuable Reggie was because defenses had to account for him even if he didn't get the ball? Khiry is pretty darn good too. We are loaded in the backfield. Nothing wrong with that at all. |

Re: Mark ingram and running game
I always think if we had to get rid of a runningback who would it be? I could never choose. Ingram is getting good, Thomas and Sproles are vital to the pass game and Robinson is an affordable back who gets the job done.

Maybe a couple decent games in a row, but I want to see him play just like he did saturday way more often.
