T.Armestead praised in MMQB
Peter King gushed about rookie tackle and the way he handled Trent Cole I really didn't pay much attention to him and that usually is a good thing for a OL player . I have high hopes for Armstead. Our OL needs tweaking.

He looked really good! The one sack he gave up, Drew didn't step up in the pocket like he should have...

Quote:
Several times Brees didn't trust the pocket (may have something to do with conditioning while Charlie Brown was in the lineup) and would scramble outside the protection...Coach Payton is gonna have to "calm him down with some film to show him the err of his ways..." |

he played well.

Re: T.Armestead praised in MMQB
Good to see him stepping up.
If we can re - sign Streif and the two guards can stay healthy a top notch center in the draft or st least a real camp competition for the spot and the line looks good. |
Re: T.Armestead praised in MMQB
I remember when Strief was the weak link. My how times have changed.
dlp needs some serious competition in camp. |
Re: T.Armestead praised in MMQB
I'm glad to see him improve. Hope it continues. He looks like Jamaal Brown, who was absolute beast for us.
I believe we'll beat Seattle. New Orleans 28 Seattle 20 |
Re: T.Armestead praised in MMQB
Armstead does remind me a lot of Jammal Brown as a young guy. Not huge, just average size for a left tackle, but really really strong and powerful. Love this kid as the future anchor of the o-line.

Re: T.Armestead praised in MMQB
Only thing is, Armstead is a lot more athletic than Jammal Brown was. That is a very good thing for the Saints.
