If we bring the ground game this week, we win.

Alaska
I've often thought the same thing. I know drew isn't about burn off with 4.3 speed down field but he's definitely quick enough to escape a few times a game if only to protect himself and extend the drive. I was quite happy to see him running qb sneaks and escaping the pocket against philly.

I hope to see more of the same against seattle to complement our run game.

I'm sure Payton learned something the first time around. He'll be better prepared.

Re: The All-22: How to beat the Seahawks

As a Seahawks fan I am most worried about what Payton schemes up for this game. I believe he is the biggest matchup problem the Seahawks have. Pete is a fun coach to watch, but creativity during a game/plan is not his strong suit. He is a system guy. He just sets his guys out there then cheers like a Sea Gal chewing gum.

Seahawk game philosophy is to just do their thing and will only change if they are down 2 scores in the second half. Even in their last couple of losses, they just played their normal game as they were only one score down Run, run, 3rd down pass, punt. It is easy to scheme for the Hawks, but hard to outplay them.

The players are going to come out like a house afire, especially on D. If I was coaching the Saints, I would be happy to get out of the 1st half close in score without turning the ball over. Let the Hawks feel the pressure and make mistakes.

Seahawks offense is down the last few weeks. Mostly due to playing 3 in-division games, but their 3rd down play has been poor. Issues with penalties and inaccuracy by RW on 3rd down have been killing drives.

Home field and weather at the moment are your advantage. Our wildcard is Sean Payton, just like you said. Should be a good game.

It rained during the week 13 matchup.. maybe not as hard as it will this time but still something we've seen vs Seattle and Carolina.

I don't think it will rain enough for either team to change their game plan. The rain here is not like it is down south, it is more of a constant wetness. Sure there is sometimes gulley washers, but normal rain is just endless drizzle. With the ball being switched out each play, they are not really that wet at all. The players and fans not under the roof will be soaked for basically 4 straight hours.

Played sports my whole life here, and the rain really does not affect you as much as you would think. The heaviest rain I have ever seen was in Florida.

Hardest thing I've done as a saints fan: Try and watch us vs Seahawks.. definitely didn't like watching it that night still stings.
