this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I think we keep Thomas as a primary mixed with Khiry and Sproles doing what he does. Ingram showed up but i like to use him for a decent draft pick....

Re: Ingram,Robinson or Thomas
We keep Pt ,Robinson and Cadet and while looking at more FA's. Sproles still has good trade value.

Re: Ingram,Robinson or Thomas
Khiry isn't going anywhere. PT isn't going anywhere. Mark is a FA isn't he?
Tell you what - Mark Ingram is a dang good running back when the o-line gives him enough time to get the ball in his hands. Time and time again, while everyone was railing on the guy, he was trying to dodge people in the back field. I would love to see those 3 guys on the team next year, with a better center and a renewed commitment to the running game. |

Re: Ingram,Robinson or Thomas
I would like to see a Robinson/Ingram tandem(Robinson as primary back). Keep Thomas as rotation with Ingram and as depth. Thomas is getting older but no way do we get rid of him. He is still valuable to this team.

Re: Ingram,Robinson or Thomas
We do not run a LEAD BACK or FEATURE BACK. Anyone actually watch the games. The carried needed is BS.
You know what happens when you make 1 person a feature or lead? When he goes down the game plan has to change... No thank you. |

Forsure need to take sproles out the return game, his jukes are bad, thats one area we need to invest in

PT can still be effective in the screen game and maybe 3-5 carries a game, and sorry Sproles, you had one good return this year.

Re: Ingram,Robinson or Thomas
With our cap issues (not problems), we'll probably continue to purge high priced players and replace with younger talent. I look for more Fosters, Robinsons, Galettes, Lelitos, Sweetings, Butlers, Reddicks, etc to make this team.
We may invest some more big money in the O-line to protect our franncchise, but I can see us pretty much ignoring all the high priced free-agents and concentrating on restructures and out out-right releases of som popular players. Its all gonna depend on how difficult they will be to replace without much of a drop-off. PT/Sproles (pre-2013) would be extremely difficult to replace without a huge drop-off. The PT/Sproles we saw this year wouldn't be that difficult to replace with youger cheaper versions. |

Khiry and ingram for 2 straight weeks against phillys D and then seattles D (arguably the best in football) have worked together and moved the ball extremely well |
