We need to get some of our own guys re-signed and make a couple of small moves.

A lot of people seem to want Strief gone, but look at the available free agents and tell me he's not better than almost all of them. He's worth the $3-3.5 million/year he'll get and will probably give us a bit of a hometown discount. I'm not as big on keeping DLP but if you let him go you'd better damn sure know your replacement is going to work out. Unless you can get Mack (unlikely) there's no point in looking for outside FA help at center.

I could see us bringing in a WR, if Moore is cut and Meachem not re-signed there is a gaping hole there. Really like Emmanuel Sanders. Maybe a big 3-4 OLB although Haralson would probably be the best value. Doubt they look for corner/safety help but there are some good depth guys available (I really love Cassius Vaughn as a nickel/dime guy).


I think my ideal (but realistic) offseason would look something l like this:

QB - Brees, Griffin
RB - Ingram, Robinson, Sproles, rookie (Hill? Seastrunk?)
FB - Collins
WR - Colston, Stills, Toon, Emmanuel Sanders
TE - Graham, Watson, Hill
OL - Armstead, Grubbs, Lelito, Evans, Strief (Harris, Jones, rookie)
DL - Jordan, Hicks, Bunkley, Jenkins, Foster, Walker, rookie
OLB - Galette, Butler, Haralson, Rufus
ILB - Lofton, Hawthorne, Humber, Reddick
CB - Lewis, Robinson, White, Sweeting, Cassius Vaughn
S - Vaccaro, Bush, Jenkins, rookie
