Was it really that bad?
I've got to admit, I haven't bothered watching any games since the Arizona disaster. I gave up on them there. I haven't even bothered watching highlights.
But I just got on this board today, and I almost can't believe the flames on it. Are they really this bad? It must be a complete meltdown. Are there any mediocre areas on the team? Or is it just a flat disaster all the way around... I'm curious about specifics. |

IMO - Deuce is mediocre this season. The rest of the teams is just bad.

Only a couple of players are even trying -- Grant, Deuce adn McKenzie are actuallyplaying hard. The rest of the team has packed it in for the season. Brooks has been okay this year but is still inconsistent and cannot light a flame under the team. As for me -- I am more upset and frusttrated than any other time in Saint\'s history. At least in the early years they put in a valid effort -- now they give up. I dread the KC and Denver games.

Whoever made the coment on the shutdown D, must have not seen our team play since the late 80\'s.

CHACHING and saintswhodi were the most adamit about how my team was going to be takin care of, especially because of ur \"great pass rush\" and \"mckenzie was the main reason breres will get shut down\" now im not trying to rub it in but Osgood our fourth string receiver stift armed him so bad i thought mckenzie had to leave the field right then and there
PS your radio play by play guy\'s \"head up their ass\" statement after one of gates TD catch is being played after every commercial on our radio show today and i still keep laughing that he actually said that [Edited on 8/11/2004 by chileanbolt] |

I applaud the Chargers. Always liked them since I was a kid.
ChileanBolt, could you talk to you guys front office about a possible Brees trade our way?? Come on, you guys have Phillip Rivers. Don\'t be selfish. |

Chileanbolt -- maybe you should be on a different forum. This is a Saints forum. And yes the Chargers won -- but I believe you need to be a saints fan in order to criticize them. And I will make a prediction here and now for you --- your team will fold near the end of the season --- stumble into the playofffs and lose their first game.

all us fans here want to trade rivers, not all of us of course theres gonna be the other opinion but SD is fallin in love with brees. We wanted his head last year and since we actually givwe him time in the pocket and there numerous weapons at his disposal he plays with more confidence and i think thats the biggest thing, i have been saying for awhile to anyone that wanted to hear that we are going to keep brees especially when u go to ESPN.com\'s front page and they say he is a MVP brees
also i got nothing but love for the saints ive always hoped good things for them and after i hung out with a saints fan passing the drinks back and forth and just having fun, i hope u guys can turn that thing around |
