Just goes to show you how most people are just casual fans of the game. We here at B&G and other message boards are here because the game of football is much much more than just the score and winning and losing. It is a passion

WWL had a poll asking the public if they would prefer SF or Seattle to go to SB. An overwealming majority chose SF. How quickly they forget that SF used to be a division rival and was hated just as much if not more than the Falcons.
Also if you are going to lose in the playoffs wouldn't you rather lose to a team that eventually makes it to the Super Bowl than a team that lost in the Championship Game??

nOw I do realize that the poll did not represent the entire Who Dat nation, but still.

I would agree with that poll. I hate the Seahawks a lot more that I do the 49ers. And for who whins and who you lose to, I couldn't care less.

I would also choose SF over Seattle. 1. we beat SF so we arent as worried about them repeating next year plus i doubt them winning vs peyton and if Seattle won that would hurt more knowing that could be us. 2. Imagine the bandwagon and talking heads if Seattle won. They were handing them the SB before the season started. 3. Did I mention the Seattle fans that were claiming a blowout against us this past week.

I hope Seattle wins. I'd love to see Peyton Manning go against the Seattle defense. It should make for a great game. I usually don't care to watch the Superbowl, but that would be a game I'd tune into.

I remember the butt kickin, nut kickin, skull draggin losses the 9ers used to give us. I still don't like Montana. The result of the NFC game doesn't really effect me much. I don't want Pete Carroll to win anything and I want to see the 9ers lose another SB.

Excuse me but I was very much alive and a Saints fan during the 80s and early 90s. I remember that rivalry well. I remember being 12 or 13 years old and crying from frustration one particular Sunday because we could never beat them.

And I still would rather them win than the Seahawks.

Granted, I would much rather a black hole open up beneath that stadium and swallow up both franchises, but if I have to pick one...

Not only was he suspended (appealed) for it, not only because of his play on the field, not only the way he screams and brags, but the way he talks to the media and how he verbally expresses his doucheness. This lost for me is almost as bad as a Saint 's lost.

SF in SB, passable. Losing and PManning and Den Broncs winning, fine with us.
SF was there last year and lost and if they had gone this year and lost, fine. Still, for them, two years straight is good.

Can DenBroncs win this one? Can PManning win this one?

I sure hope so.

The NFL needs a new Commissioner, kick this Goodell clown out of business. He is trying to change the NFL into something it is not, and it's not helping, it seems like more and more people are getting injured. On top of that the NFL is paying him 30mil a year, which is ridiculous to pay someone whom no one likes.

Meh, I dunno. Looking from outside, Sherman and such seems abrasive, but from the inside, I'd say many of us would love the attitude.

The Saints in the SB year and SB two weeks and win and after , they were not liked by many NFL fans it seems. Katrina talk and images of that, Saints long suffering years, people turned off from that . Saints were the underdog.

For the most part, Coach SP has had a good handle of picking and having pretty low key players in the celebratory antics, interviews, etc.

During SB week, he even handled GregWilliams as to let the media know, no, he did not like that or approve and he scolded his own coach.

Well,it is SS and Den Brocos.

Excalibur, I do agree with you in that I wish and the Saints were more agressive on the field. That means making legal plays but aggressive.
Aggressive does not mean nasty plays, cheap shots, and trash talking after a win.
I like how SF and other teams take a short time to get down to the end zone and then have a td for fg. It seems Saints take too long, and often do not get a td and sometimes not a fg either.
One thing I would like to see from the Saints for this year is to start really playing like they want to win at 1st qrtr. with 15:00 mins on the clock.
Coming back after the 2nd half is often too late. Trying at 4th qrtr. in last few mins is not enough time.

SF came out 1st qrtr like crazy people!!! SS did not have an easy win. If SF had not came out and on strong in 1st qrtr, SS could have had wiped them out. SF really made CP'ers suffer that lost last week.

You can be really aggresive . NFL football is not golf. it is not swimming. It is not tennis. Nothing wrong with those sports.
NFL football is a tough, physical sport.

Playing by the rules and winning and not be thug is ok.
Russell Wilson is good. That good. Tough. No wimp. Kaepernick is too.
PManning is. Saurday was. Dallas Austin is. Grahma is. Sproles is. Many, many are.

Swilling, Ricky, the late Sam Mills, a Mac truck shorty like Sproles LOL, Vaughn Johnson and the rest of them were tough, rough, legal hits and so on.

Rickey J spoke like he had food in his mouth, but he was not a bad guy off the field, in interviews, stuff like that.
