The Continuing Journeys of the Hawk Hat
I wanted to share this experience with all of my B&G friends. As very few of you know, I initiated a bet with a longtime acquaintance at Seahawks.NET. The proposition was that the winner would buy a cap of the winning team and ship it to the loser, who would in turn wear the cap while watching the Super Bowl and would provide photographic proof. Well, as we all know, the Seahawks won and now I must honor the bet. But, I decided to take it a step further and document a year's worth of journeys with the Hawk Hat.
Feel free to follow the adventure, but please respect the board and its members. But, anyway, here is the link: The Continuing Journeys of the Hawk Hat Once again, for my sake, if you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all. You know your mama told you that. |

The thread is hilarious, and you are a great sport Guido! This should serve as a reminder to everyone what being a "fan" is all about....stand by your team at all times, but maintain respect and have fun with others!

They deal with the same crap that life deals to us. They have their personal joys and despair in the same manner as us.
To be honest, it pains me to see and read the abuse that opposing fans take on the internet and in person. I just feel we (meaning all, not just Saints fans) need to practice greater respect for others enthralled by the same passion as encompasses us all. I realize it seems as I am preaching, but Hell, look at my avatar. It has taken hold. I just think that we all need to take a step back at times and see things from the other viewpoint. Okay, the sermon is over. Drinks are on me. Or, as you may discover following the thread, that may not necessarily be the case ... |
