knock me over with a feather... I thought Ray Guy was already in YOU MEAN HE WAS NOT! lets see in 75 years of Football not one punter - not even Ray Guy? - Kickers (punters) are dissed from the HOF.

Morten Andersen is the All-Time Scorer for the NFL. Please - I want I really want to respect the HOF. It SHOULD mean something - and glaring oversites like this belittle the entire institution and make us all smaller somehow.

(OK take it with a grain of salt - i have a kicker bias.)

Can't be all about the rings. Charles Haley has 5. In fact the only person in NFL history with 5 rings IIRC. Dude cannot seem to get a sniff of the HOF. Sad really.

Hall of Fame is about overall career accolade(s), and accomplishment(s). It is, and needs to remain about more than 1 things to get in.

If you put Anderson in now, and someone plays for 30 years and brakes his record, he becomes a severely diluted member of the HoF.

Throw books all you want but Andersons's record, Favre's records, are iron man records and not an indication of impressive skill. Just indicative of playing a very long time.

Should Drew Brees get into the HoF just for breaking Marino's record? No he shouldn't, it should be about body of work.

Should Matt Prater be in the Hall of Fame for 1 kick? As soon as someone kicks a 65 yard FG he becomes merely an after thought.

I think the fact 2 of the longest FG's made in the last 10-15 years came from the thin Denver air is why its pretty much swept under the rug. If either kick was in New Orleans below sea level, neither one would of made it.
