I'm hearing a lot of buzz about him being a perfect fit here. National media as well. Usually I am skeptical of hometown guys because just because someone is hometown doesn't mean they will flourish in their hometown environment when they go pro.
Plus you have a lot of homers that automatically think someone from LSU is gonna be a stud here. |

Re: COMBINE: WR's
Although it's fun to speculate, i think we have a long way to go in Free Agency before we have ANY idea what positions will be prioritized in our draft plans. At this point, with the uncertainty on our offensive line and in our secondary, to think that we can afford to go WR in the first OR second round is a bit crazy. Let's not forget that, at this moment, we do not have a "starting" RT or much in the way of a backup at LT. Also, our secondary is looking mighty thin right now with only Vacarro and Lewis penciled in as surefire starters at this point.

Re: COMBINE: WR's
This draft class is so deep with quality mid to late round wr's its not funny. We need to address the defense mostly cb or s and a cover lb in the first three rounds. If this year has shown anyone is that a top offense will lose to a top defense most of the time.

Re: COMBINE: WR's
Sean and Mickey normally adress NEEDS through the means of Free Agency and then build depth and "luxury" picks if you will through the Draft. If we can retain Jimmy and either BDP or Zach Strief, and splash a CB in Free Agency than we can afford to make a move on WR's
If not we'll need a CB in the 1st, Saftey/ Oline in the 2nd 3rd Round Oline or OLB and by that time there isn't much luxury left |

Re: COMBINE: WR's
I don't know what team some of you have been following...
We don't draft on needs or wholes to fill. They have done that via Free Agency, mostly. The draft they try and get the BPA and at 27th it looks very likely its going to be a WR. Yes there is going to be a lot of good ones but finding the one that is going to be a better fit with us is key. I don't see a CB in the draft where we will be picking who could keep up with the WR's. Odell Could also be a return guy for us as well. I am not a fan of hometown hero's as well but he really looked good out there today. Big WR... Mike Evans??? Liked him better than the FSU guy. |

You're right that the Saints have wisely covered holes in free agency and used the draft to upgrade - as it should be... But the overspent contracts on Grubbs, Lofton have put this team in a bad position... |

Re: COMBINE: WR's
Odell Beckham Jr. Ran a 4.31 that makes him more and more an SP type of player
think about it, the saints have been trying to fill that outside void since SP arrived. Henderson and Meacham were streakers only and never developed a total game. Then you add the electric factor into it and the Bush type of factor that every time he takes the field. defenses must account for him, he has SP type of player in round 1 written all over him my gut says this will be the saints pick. |

Donte Moncrief ran a 4.40. He should be a Saint.
