Underclassmen Immaturity a Concern For NFL Teams
"There were guys I found on Twitter this year that I can't believe they would post and re-Tweet some of the stuff they were saying,'' Spielman said inside the Lucas Oil Stadium. "We wrote a report just on their Twitter accounts.
"I won't say the names. But out of the 60 that we did, there are eight guys that we have concerns about their Twitter feeds that we will address here.'' What was on those accounts? "Immaturity: Why would you Tweet that? Some things specifically on there, 'Hey, I'm going out and partying with the guys tonight.' Or admitting that they just took a drug,'' Speilman said. "It's amazing what you can find on social media. And that they don't realize what they just put out there. Spielman wasn't alone in his assessment. One thing I learned from drinking. You should always go Christmas caroling with a group. Oh, and always in mid-December.

I'm sure Mr. Spielman has never lived to regret or wished he could unsay anything he said when he was 23 years old.
The fact that he finds 'Hey, I'm going out and partying with the guys tonight.' questionable makes me question his standards of maturity. I'm sure his wife has never said 'We are going out to a party with some friends for new years Eve.' |

I think the "Or admitting that they just took a drug" part is the larger issue.

Then don't draft them and let them be someone else's problem. I'm sure they do their due diligence with background checks and what not. They should understand the risk reward aspect of selecting certain players.
In other words, cry me a river. This isn't just an issue with players entering the NFL. It's the case with young men and women entering the work force in general. If you don't like what you see, don't hire them. |

Amazing how NBA players make millions more than NFL players and the NBA will whore the entire league to appease some punk@$$ jerk who thinks the world lives and dies if he scratches himself...
