Not sure if this sort of thing interests anyone on here but.
Its 10 weeks or so till the draft so is anyone interesting in goung through a mock draft on the board. Depending on numbers you could get 1/2/3 teams and you act as the GM.No trading picks etc just add your name and ill see the numbers.Teams will be randomised and you will get a set time to post picks on the draft thread.We do similar things on another site im on (non nfl) and they bring up some interesting talking points during ybe offseason.

new england minnesota and whatever you want to assign me. i know those two pretty well.

i can pass the pats on also because i know there is more than one of us stuck up here listening to pats this, red sox that and will the celtics tank enough games to get a bunch of ping pong balls.

It's been a minute, and my memory isn't the best it might not have been you, but a while back we were talking about how bad or good our drafts have gone, and I think you made the comment that ATL had drafted better than us.... I can't quote specifics but I think it was you.... Forgive me if im wrong.....

I've criticized the drafts about 3 to 5 years ago as being nowhere near as good as our reputation among saints fans, but the last 2 or 3 have been quite good.

I don't know enough about Atlantas drafts to compare to ours, but I do like some of the guys they've drafted.

I was in one a few years back that allowed trades. It was a total disaster. There were about 15 1st round trades and some really bizarre/unrealistic picks and moves.

I suggest we don't allow trades. It really F's it all up.

Towards the end of the week.

Everyone will get a time limit for each pick and then PM the next teams to pick.Ill work on times etc next couple of days

Anyone else add name to the list.Im thinking give everyone 12hrs timeframe for picks.
What happens is you add your pick on the draft thread and personal message the next player to pick and his 12 hours start.If a player misses his pick then tge draft continues and he can pick as soon as he returns. Its a good idea to leave a pick with somebody via a PM if you are not going to be on as it allows the draft to move quicker.

So once we pick the player, is it gonna be little talking points about why we took player A there.... and others chime in..... This is starting to sound fun... what a wonderful way to waste an evening..... This can do nothing but help Yesterday, might have been the most horrible Sunday without football ever.... and the Grammys was on making it that much worse....

There will be one thread for picks and another for discussions. It makes it easier to keep talk and picks seperate.
It would be nice to do it all in a evening but its unlikely everyone will be on hence a time limit for picks.
