Lance Moore gone

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Whenever we needed big time conversion on third down there was Lance. I'll miss him. He can still play at a high level and I wish him all the best....

Gone are the days when you can keep the same players forever. If you want to stay relevant, you have stay moving. Period!

You will be missed, Lance!

Re: Lance Moore gone

Lance's mom gave me permission to share her reply to a PM I sent her in regards to the Saints fan nation being sad at the loss of Lance moore. Let's hope Mrs. Debbie gets her son a little close to home..

Hi, Shane- It's really sad news, but we understand that the game of football is a business first and foremost. I am sure Lance's agent will do his thing and Lance will end up where they'll treat him right and use him to his potential. Even though it will be cold and the city not nearly as cool (Let's face it; no city on earth is as cool as New Orleans!) I'm kind of rooting for Detroit. It's close to Columbus, so I could go to all the home games and a bunch of the away games, too. Also, with Joe Lombardi as the offensive coordinator and running the Saints basic offense, who better than Lance to be the inside guy to Megatron's outside guy-ness and help everyone learn the offense? Lance is the man for that job.

Lance's heart will always be with New Orleans, as will mine. He had a great nine years there. The people of New Orleans are the nicest, most friendly people I've ever encountered. I've not had my last trip there, that's for sure. My brother-in-law asked me this morning if I have to get rid of all my Saints stuff. Heck no!!! I won't be wearing my Saints jersey on game days, but I'll still have all my Saints things hanging in my house -- fleur de lis in my kitchen and in my living room. That's his/our history. We are Saints forever.

Take care, Shane.
Debbie

Re: Lance Moore gone

Unbelievable some of his grabs. Can't count how many times he really sacrificed his body. One of the best WR we ever had.

Re: Lance Moore gone

It's my understanding that Marques Colston is occupying $10 million in cap space this year. If there were one contract screaming for a "restructuring" it's this one.

Re: Lance Moore gone

I wasn't "big" on all of Lance's dancin' moves after every catch; but I'm glad for the 9 years he was with the team and wish him the best.
