I'd Wager Given two weeks with Brees , Steve Smith would easily become our best Receiver.

Strief and DLP should be replaced in the draft rather than shell out millions with our backs against the wall for guys who can't flopping run block.

I can't wait to see Ingram and Robinson get at it this year.

Our receivers aren't gonna be crap if the OL isn't figured out first. We can look hard at those guys playing on the line, but someone oughta take a real hard look at who's out there to coach them.

Steve Smith would be interesting. I was thinking about that earlier. SP and Smith have a great relationship and Smith plays the physical roll we need. If he comes cheap I could see him being a Saint, and despite how much I hated the guy before I would enjoy him getting some TDs against CAR.

Jimmy wants all the money he can get. I'd do the same. He might take a little less to stay here. That's the impression he's given me at least, but who knows? All I know for sure is that if placed in his shoes, I'd be doing exactly what he's doing, and why shouldn't I, or anyone else? He'd be a fool otherwise. Business is business.

As much as I hate that guy as a Panther, I'd be giddy if we had him. He's tough, wants to win, and brings an attitude we might just benefit from.

I think we're retooling. I hate to see some of these guys go but thats the business of the NFL. The draft is deep and flush with talent and we all know how good Mickey Loomis is at finding gems that everyone else misses. A couple offensive linemen, a receiver or two, and a couple defensive players for Rob and we'll be right back in the mix.

We need new blood and cap space. Right now was the best time to cut them and get significant cap relief. If we waited till next year we wouldn't free up near as much money. I am gonna miss them all but I am ready for new blood. I also have a feeling we are going to spend a little more in FA than people thought. I could see us going for one or two Keenin Lewis type players. I'm glad we don't hold onto players longer than we should just for nostalgia sake. If we as fans want to be perriniel winners we have to be willing quit becoming so emotionally attached to these players.
Thanks for the memories guys but there are many more to be made.

People are overreacting (I don't mean in this thread, just in general). Look, we have a franchise Hall of Fame quarterback and a really good defense. That combination alone gives us a playoff team.

People are also forgetting how these guys come along. Moore was a UDFA that got cut from the freaking BROWNS. Sproles was a mid-level free agent who was just supposed to fill Reggie Bush's shoes. Greer was a relatively obscure free agent too. People thought the Saints were crazy for trading Stallworth in favor of keeping a 7th round rookie in Colston. Pierre Thomas was a UDFA. And so on, and so on.

Clearly, somebody in the organization has a good eye for talent. We've turned over damn near the entire roster since the Super Bowl year and remained a yearly contender. So, no, I'm not worried.
