Re: Ryan Shazier
For what it's worth, that 4.36 is unofficial.
Also, 40 times when Urban Meyer is the coach is always going to be misleading. Case in point: |

Re: Ryan Shazier
I'm diggin' Dee Ford, Ryan Shazier, or Jimmie Ward with our pick as of now. Ford for his pass rushing ability, Shazier for his versatility, and Ward for his speed and ability to be Vaccaro-ish.

Shazier? hell a 4.4 is impressive.
Dee? 44 reps blew me away Jason Verrett? 19 reps with a torn labrum. kids a gamer « Older Entries Pro Days NFL ‘who’s who’ attends Ohio State pro day Posted: March 7th, 2014 | Gil Brandt | Tags: Ohio State, pro day Ohio State’s pro day Friday drew probably the largest group of NFL scouts and personnel since 2004. There were 31 teams there, and I’m willing to bet that the one team that was not spotted, the Redskins, probably had a guy there, too. There were general managers — Pittsburgh’s Kevin Colbert, Buffalo’s Doug Whaley and the Jets’ John Idzik among them — as well as head coaches, offensive coordinators and defensive coordinators. Rob Chudzinski, a former head coach who is now an assistant in Indianapolis, was there. Seven director of player personnels were there, including Duke Tobin of the Bengals and Rick Reiprish of the Saints. Pro Days - NFL.com |

Ohio State's notoriously fast track.
Ohio State Has Bradley Roby at a 4.26, Braxton Miller at a 4.32 in the 40 | Eleven Warriors even with that in mind it's still impressive |

Re: Ryan Shazier
Straight line speed is different then running through a bunch of huge sweaty monsters. I want someone with the moves to get through first. I would take the best defensive end in the draft and forget about running backs or wide receivers until late. We already have enough

Re: Ryan Shazier
I don't see Hicks going anywhere soon for the foreseeable future and Jenkins has NT covered. And we know Jordan definitely isn't leaving anytime soon. I'd hate to draft a guy in the first round and have him be a rotational player for the next 3 or 4 years. I'm not totally against a DE early, I just don't think that would be the most logical thing to do.
