Vikings... the new Saints?
Last year, the Vikings got out to one of the best starts in the NFL. They were one of the last undefeated teams in the league and were undoubtedly out in front of everyone in what was a weak division. Then the tank job started. Like the 2002 Saints they faded from 7-2 to 9-7 and a last minute loss to the lowly Arizona Cardinals sealed their playoffless fate.
This year, they came out hot again. Mwelde Moore is proving to be a serious threat (not to mention the other 3 guys they have coming back off of injuries), Moss, Burleson, Campbell, and of course Culpepper. They looked unstoppable for a while... but now all of a sudden the same old problems are popping up. Their defense is allowing a lot of points and their offense looks hit or miss all of a sudden. Now, on a two game skid and a division showdown against the up-and-coming Packers, a loss today could put them in position for another collapse. Are the Vikings the next Saints? Is Tice the Jim Haslett of the NFC North? I see a lot of similarities on and off the field. What do you guys think? |

Vikings... the new Saints?
Yeah WhoDat, they sound very alike. Coaches known more for their passion than smarts. Offense that CAN be on fire, and defenses that leave a lot to be desired.
I hope Tice stays a year more, that way there will be less competition for good coaches in the spring. |
