Because that is how signing bonuses and or guaranteed money works. That 750k is 1/4 of his 3m signing bonus. Guaranteed money, signing bonuses, always stay with the home team whether it's trade or release. Best case scenario for that dead money is that he is designated a post June 1st release and then it can be split over 2 years. |
