Darren Sproles has not been released yet. Schefter says lots of teams interested Saints may get a pick in last minute trade.

I'd be thrilled to get something in return. Even a 7th round pick would be awesome. Please someone pull the trigger!

A trade is highly unlikely.

Why would a team give up a draft pick to take on 3.5m in cap when they can wait until tomorrow and get him for 3.5m in cap or lower and no draft pick.

Sproles is a specialty player and 3.5m is high for that.

Yes, there could be a team desperate enough to do it but would Sproles want to go there?

I could see a team that wants him that wouldn't get him in FA giving up a late pick.

Explain "wouldn't get him in FA"?

If they want him that bad... Why haven't they contacted the Saints? He has been up for trade since last Friday I do believe.

If he was worth 3.5m + a Draft pick, and I wanted him that badly, I would have snatched him in a trade Friday night.

Not sure if a team will.
My thoughts are a team like tge jags, bills etc that will not get him if he is released may give up a late pick to secure him. Who knows if Loomis has spoken to anyone.Could be teams leaving the front office to stew in tbe hopes of getting him for a 6/7th rather than a 5/6th.

Anything is certainly possible but 3.5m+a draft pick is more than he is worth... We are not keeping him at just 3.5m, and that was probably the hardest decision the front office has made so far this off season.

I must be the only Saints fan on Earth, or maybe in the entire world, that wants Sproles back. He still has wheels. :(

Sooo....you think that no one has contacted the Saints about Sproles? I find that highly unlikely considering that he has been told that he will no longer be on the team and has yet to be officially cut. I feel like if there were absolutely no trade interest he would have been dropped by now.
