Darren Sproles has not been released yet. Schefter says lots of teams interested Saints may get a pick in last minute trade.

I'd be thrilled to get something in return. Even a 7th round pick would be awesome. Please someone pull the trigger!

A trade is highly unlikely.

Why would a team give up a draft pick to take on 3.5m in cap when they can wait until tomorrow and get him for 3.5m in cap or lower and no draft pick.

Sproles is a specialty player and 3.5m is high for that.

Yes, there could be a team desperate enough to do it but would Sproles want to go there?

Explain "wouldn't get him in FA"?

If they want him that bad... Why haven't they contacted the Saints? He has been up for trade since last Friday I do believe.

If he was worth 3.5m + a Draft pick, and I wanted him that badly, I would have snatched him in a trade Friday night.

Sooo....you think that no one has contacted the Saints about Sproles? I find that highly unlikely considering that he has been told that he will no longer be on the team and has yet to be officially cut. I feel like if there were absolutely no trade interest he would have been dropped by now.

If the FO had an offer do you think he would still be on the market?

As high profile as this is, we would have heard something.

We got a 4th rd pick for Ivory, I think thats the best we can hope for with sproles

Not as unlikely as you think. Some teams that may show intrest in a trade may have no chance getting him in FA. Think of this, The Browns may be willing to give up a 4th because they are in need of a rb. Would Sproles sign there on his own???? Heck no!
