|
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Deuces!!
|
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Good luck Malcolm. Give the Cowboys hell twice a year!!!!!
|
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Had high hope for MJ never been consistent Could be a baller at times .Saints secondary depth is a worry
|
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Guess we'll be looking at a safety in the draft and maybe one in free agency
|
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Good player - great at times, but FAR TOO INCONSISTENT for where he was drafted and for the paycheck he just cashed in Philly...
|
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Thank god. Not many will agree be I for one am glad he's gone Total under achiever

Re: Malcolm Jenkins
I think back on him running down Vincent Jackson on that almost 99 yard TD vs Tampa and I smile.
I think back on him causing the fumble vs Dallas that saved that game and I smile. Then I think back on 2 dozen whiffed tackles (at least) that came at pivotal points in games that hurt the team or blown coverages - FACEPALM!!! Best wishes to him personally, but I wouldn't have been in favor of that payday if Brees and Graham had agreed to work for my salary!!! |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Wow, we have quite a few members that would make great Falcon fans.
I wish there was a "thumbs down" or a "dislike" button. Disappointed at some of the reactions. Oh well, I guess every team's got a few of them. |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Wow, my buddies up in Philly were right on when then said he was a serious candidate to sign.
Good luck in the NFC East Mr. Jenkins. |

Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Was always a great hustle guy, never gave up on the field which led to some great plays - fumble vs dallas, running vincent jackson down after 99 yards
then theres the god damn torpedo tackle he used to do where he'd lunge head first into nothing and the runner would get another 20 yards or a TD thanks for everything malcolm, I prefer our rafael bush and kenny vaccaro combo already |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Quote:
Notice how his memorable plays involve him chasing a WR for 50+ yards?! Never breaking up a big passing play. |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Where Danno?
He played well for us, but he was NOT worth $5 mil a year considering the lack of INTs / FFs / FR and poor tackling at times. Besides, if we keep Rob Ryan, we have seen it is a platoon system for DBs and there aren't really two players set at FS/SS |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
I always hoped he'd work out. Thought he started thriving under Ryan, but not to the tune of 4mil/yr
|

No way I'd pay that either for him, but I wish him luck and thanks for all he's done for us. |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Oh, OK - same here.
I appreciate what he did for us, just don't think he was worth that big of a payday. To me, a great safety needs to make big plays like Sharper did (and hopefully be a good guy - but that's another topic) - lots of turnovers. |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
And I will throw in that being a member of the SB 44 team will always make Malcolm a Saint no matter where he goes in my eyes.
Can never forget the memories all those players provided for me that year. Unfortunately the business side of football means constant change. Just another example of "Patriot-ism" and how our team now follows it. |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Let me say this Danno
Got pretty old seeing him in chase mode instead of break up mode. My from what my Eyes saw With as much athleticism and ability he has I just always felt he under achieved. we all have different views |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Jarius Byrd is on his to NOLA we have to keep him here cut Sproles, Thomas, Bunkley, and Hawthrone
|
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Cutting Hawthorne and Bunk doesnt help at all
Hawthorne costs more to cut than keep and cutting Bunk saves you $1.3ml while trying to find another NT for the rotation for under that |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Idk bout cutting hawthorne but to get byrd im down for the other cuts. Byrd paired with Vacarro would be beast.
|
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Quote:
Cutting Hawthorne would cost us money this year, his dead money is higher than his cap figure $3.5ml,dead money $4.5 Bunkley $6.1 cap/4.8ml dead Sproles saves $3.5ml,Thomas $2.9,Robinson $1.4 |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Turnovers. Jenkins doesn't get them, Byrd does
|
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Some of you will sh*t your pants if he goes there and has a terrific season. I hate too see him go.

But I'm with you. I like him, frankly as a player AND from what little I know about him as a person. Seems like a good, stand up kind of man. |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Quote:
Sounds like he had zero offer from the Saints. He actually played pretty poorly against the Eagles. What does that tell you? |
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
He wasn't smart enough to take good angles or understand how to tackle. Thanks for the effort and good luck in Philly.
|
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
Buh by MJ
|
Re: Malcolm Jenkins
We lose Jenkins but we replace him with arguably the best free safety in the NFL: Jairus Byrd! Get the f*** on down the road Jenkins you ankle-diving bust.
