He'll thrive in Ryan's D. And we didn't even have to give up Graham like I first thought....

Re: Byrd visiting NO
Next year a fair bit of space can be opened up by completely reshaping aspect of the team,it would also require eating masses of dead money and hurting for a year. The hope would be a restructure or trade.
Evans Cap 11ml,dead money 5ml savings $6ml Grubbs Cap 9.6,DM 6ml Savings $3.6 Brees Cap $26.4ml,Dead money 14.8ml(restructure) Colston Cap $9.7,Dead 5.4,savings $4.3ml Lofton Cap 9ml,Dead $5ml savings 4ml Hawthorne cap 6.3,dead 3ml saving 3ml Bunkley cap 6.1,dead 3.3ml saving $2.8ml Also can save x by cutting Ben Watson $1.5ml |
Re: Byrd visiting NO
I got in my car and heard this from Mike Fransesa on WFAN in NY. When I heard him say Byrd was visiting the Saints I was thrilled and surprised. I'd love to see this happen. I highly doubt they are going to restructure anymore contracts. I'd think more cuts are on the way... Bunkley in particular...

OMG, just OMG!!! Be still my beating heart!
Maybe a heavily back-loaded contract with a huge signing bonus? Just wow. I have a lot of faith in Loomis, but this is just too good to be true. But like he said, he wouldn't be visiting if we weren't serious, and its not like we don't know how much he costs |
