Jarius Byrd, safety from Buffalo Bills. Probably the top free agent on the market who isn't named Graham.

We don't have the money to sign him unless he is willing to take a pay cut to play for a contender.

This would be a coup - but it would take some give from Byrd and some take from existing Saints players (in the form of restructuring or relocating)

Next year a fair bit of space can be opened up by completely reshaping aspect of the team,it would also require eating masses of dead money and hurting for a year.The hope would be a restructure or trade.

I got in my car and heard this from Mike Fransesa on WFAN in NY. When I heard him say Byrd was visiting the Saints I was thrilled and surprised. I'd love to see this happen. I highly doubt they are going to restructure anymore contracts. I'd think more cuts are on the way... Bunkley in particular...
