Can't disagree with this more. Sproles was our predictable back. We knew it was a pass or screen every time he was in the game. Plus (as much as I liked sproles) he wasn't much of a pass blocker at his size.

PT is by far the most versatile RB on our roster. He runs hard in between the tackles (finds holes I wish Ingram would find), catches the ball well and pass blocks well. If anything, you won't know what to expect when he's in the game because he does everything well. He's not the fastest but he's the least predictable of all our backs. In addition, as ingram and krob see more carries it's good to have a guy like PT around to mentor them.

He is the only one I was questioning the idea off letting him go. I think when he's around it opens a whole new chapter in play book.

Good move. PT, Robinson, Ingram is a good backfield, I would still add a power back to make it great. I'm not opposed to running it down other teams throat, I prefer it.

I'd still prefer to obtain a classic 3rd down scat back RB/WR type. I think they're easier to find than the 3-down powerbacks are.

Scat backs are but if we can get away from the finess game and more into ground and pound I think we beat teams like Seattle, San Fran, Carolina, and with a C, RT and 1 more WR our O could and should be special again+ Brees might not get mauled as much as he was last year with a power run game.
