Good spot for him. A 5th is great compensation since he would have been cut otherwise. Not lets not get another 5´2 120lbs "running back". I have seen enough of armtackles...

Re: Darren Sproles Traded to Eagles

I would have much rather we sent him to a AFC team. I'm glad he's on a contender but just hope it don't come back to bite us in the end

He'll be a great fit with Chip's offense... for a while. That kind of pace chews up players. I'm glad we got something for him rather than just him being released. Best of luck, except...

Re: Darren Sproles Traded to Eagles

5th round pick is great because this draft is so freaking deep. Sproles wife is going off on the Saints organization. She would fit in very nice with the Philly fans.

McCoy and Sproles; The Eagles offense will be scary this year...

My Eagles friends will be happy......both of them. I'm sad to see you go Darren. Good luck in Philly.

I would put our 1st round pick and our 6th rounder on the line and try to trade them up for maybe a top 10 pick. just to make sure we get the so much needed elite wr. we still have 6 picks, so why not?

Please find me a trade in the past 15 years or so where a team moved from the bottom of the first to the top by swapping picks with a team and throwing in a 6th rounder.....

Re: Darren Sproles Traded to Eagles

To move up into the top 10 it would take far more than a 1st and 6th

Similar trade was Atlanta trading down for Julio Jones it cost them
Atlanta's 1st(26th pick),2nd round,4th round,1st round 2012 and 4th 2012 to move up to 6th

Re: Darren Sproles Traded to Eagles

but they don't have loomis! ;-)

a better draft position in the 1st round won't be the worst thing in the world. we have to level up the o-line now.

Somehow I think you have confused 5th round pick with 5th overall pick?

Best of luck to Sproles. He'll always be one of my personal favorites.

Sproles and Foles ... sounds like a hipster cartoon show.

I'm surprised at this trade. But, I don't have enough inside info to have an opinion.

Good move Mickey. I thought Sproles would command a solid 4th I can definately be alright with a 5th. With that pick we might be able to get a power back.

I smell a trade up in the draft....

Re: Darren Sproles Traded to Eagles

Could be a case of using both 5ths to move up to the end of the 4th start 5th round. We need a C,RT,WR and depth so could be anything yet

5th round has as many possibilities as throwing dice. Will have to wait and see.

Well it looks Philli will their division this year. Might even go to NFC championship. Let's hope we are the opponents.

Not so fast JS ... Philly still doesn't play sound defense. I expect the Redskins to be better in that division.

Not me, we don't sigh Byrd without Sproles' cap savings.

Guy who wasn't nearly as elusive as past years and had the worst punt return average in the league or ball hawking turnover machine for our turnover needy defense

I know which one I'd prefer to have, loomis made the right choice

The 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray had a 0-60 time of 6.3 seconds. <------ Badazz sports car.

Jump to today and the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 has a 0-60 of 4.5 seconds.
