Thats my guess,

That's way too much and, more importantly, too long a commitment for a player that will maybe have one more good year...

Later Round Draft Prospect Justin Britt or Donald Hawkins could offer more...

And we may just have on the roster an improvement over Strief's suspect run blocking and handicap in the screen game...
