Re: Saints Considering Sidney Rice
Why sign Rice when we just released Moore?!?
Stills is an ascending player and you have a player in Toon or a probable draft pick who will need those invaluable reps to develop... We could have signed a better, inexpensive option in Hakeem Nicks to a one year prove it option... But I geaux back to too many receivers inhibit development by limiting reps... Believe one of the biggest reasons Colston did so well because he got the reps to develop... |

Re: Saints Considering Sidney Rice
I like Rice and all but with his injury history I just don't know if he is worth the risk.

Re: Saints Considering Sidney Rice
Exactly. He'll only take away reps from a younger guy if in fact he looks better then the younger guy. If he doesn't produce, he gets cut. No money loss. No cap hit. I'm pretty sure his contract wouldn't include guaranteed money.

Not keen on Bennett at all,if you want to kick the tires on a a vet receiver might as well call Brandon Lloyd. He will be desperate as he never played last year

Re: Saints Considering Sidney Rice
Lloyd is 32 and he is done. Bennett is actually younger than Rice. He was used as 3rd down guy and in clutch situations. It's hard to have good numbers in chicago when Cutler is only looking for Marshall (that's before trestman and jeffery).
