this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The Cheifs Offensive Coordiantor... I think he learned under Mike Martz... 1st half 20 carries 140 yards... first drive of 3rd qtr. 5 carries 26 yards... Thats almost 7 yards a carry... The rest of the game only 8 carries. ...

1st half 20 carries 140 yards... first drive of 3rd qtr. 5 carries 26 yards... Thats almost 7 yards a carry... The rest of the game only 8 carries. They werent that far behind, but abandoned the run game which was working great. Now I appreciate the Saints win just as much as everyone else, but they sure slipped up there... Not taking any credit away from the Saints who did slow down their run game however, only slightly... Also... McCarthy actually used a WR to go deep... and what do you know it worked... You run the ball well and then go playaction!!! Someone been watching highlights of Mr. Manning... However, he still did run that stupid WR screen and almost got Stallworth killed... I would like to see the FB used more often, but we are making progress... Good gameplan equals big win... |

I agree Psycho. I think this week our offensive game plan was solid. Being that it was different from previous weeks, I think it stunned the KC D, as weak as it is anyway. We will not get that surprise factor next week against the Broncos - however, I will hope that we continue to stretch the field a bit more.
