I tend to like reading mock drafts, interesting to see who they pick and the reasoning behind the picks.

Plus; it gives me something to read leading up to the draft

I voted they are ok. I do not follow college football much out of the SEC so I am not familiar with the players out there. One thing I do get from these mocks are names of players to research and in doing so become familiar with them.
I don't think I have ever seen a mock draft actually be right though.

Nope. You have huge threads dedicated to mock drafts and the Saints draft, this will be a huge thread dedicated to the discussion of "mock drafts" as a subject. Or a mocking of mock drafts if you will.

My point would be that running mock draft scenarios before at least two weeks of free agency is down is really time spent randomly picking names out of a hat.

The thread with its poll about Saints needs.... The first 3/4 is fairly moot at this point because of how much needs have changed due to signings.

I get the "if you don't like mock drafts don't read the thread", well if you don't like the mocking of mock drafts, don't read this one.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever produced a mock draft with at least 50% accuracy when compared to that seasons Saints draft?

All that said, I do support the opinion that there is a whole hell of a lot more thought, research,and understanding put into mock drafts than there is being put into the average comment about the salary cap, Jimmy Graham's contract, or Mark Ingram's running.
