It usually helps receivers\' confidence to know that there are \"clear-out\" routes designed to uncongest the middle. Given the current level of protection, the middle\'s still congested by defenders who\'ve not been cleared. Just a little protection goes a long way to opening things up, just see how the last 4 teams have torched the Saints D by giving just half a second more time.
It\'s going to be interesting to see who moves into the #1 receiver slot now that Joe Horn isn\'t going to see much of any time this weekend. Maybe now\'s the time to pull Henderson off the inactive list and have him and Stallworth alternate the \"long\" routes just to give Denver something to think about. Pathon\'s going to have a busy afternoon and he\'s not the healthiest either. |
