It would be an enormous reach at 27, and he would be a reach in the 2nd.

I love Walters it allows me to read and try to fit pieces to the puzzle. My pick at #1 to have is Hageman DT.

Man, picking only one is super tough. I'd love Darquez Dennard but that's not realistic, I think we could get McGill and that would be a damn good pick, but if Shazier is there and I don't believe he will be you can't pass him up. If he's not there and Attachou is there, again you have to make that pick. Also, if OBJ is there, that would be an awesome pick. This team needs playmakers, game changers so you've got to take one if you can get one. Still if we were to be able to get one of the above players in round 1 and still get Stanley Jean-Baptiste in the second, that would be an outstanding draft.

just one hmmmm dam tough question

Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn is the safest bet to be a pro bowler from day one.

No Ditka trades?

A Draft going wth happened but at least the took. Now the round taken makes a huge difference.

Charles Sims RB West Virgina in the fourth would make me happy. an under rated steal and instant impact from day one. he can be groomed by PT as his replacement when the time comes.

all the names mentioned so far are good ones.

You and draftscouts, Nfldc, and walter's are absolutely right. He's not a first round selection, probably not a second. But you also know this is a dart throw at wall sized dart board and hoping to hit the target. I know the scouts sites say there is a perfect place to get him. I guess what I was trying to say is I don't care...... Just get him!!!!

I consider Pierre Desir and Stanley Jean-Baptiste the same tier and I'd want Desir before Jean-Baptiste...

If we get a pure Center, then he should be a great one; otherwise, go for C/G.

In the spirit of one thing feeds off of another.. If our passing game feeds off of our ability to run the ball, then our screen game feeds off of our ability to run the ball up the middle.

C/G gaps are where that happens and if there is enough threat to L/R C running it opens up the outside and the screen.

For me personally our biggest issue on the OL last season was worrying about Brown, he didn't have a lot of horrible games but when he did it was bad... I am also not entirely sure he got a fair shot from the fans from the get go.

After that we were plagued with players having to play hurt on the Right side.. Both Evans and Streif were nicked up a few weeks. We lack depth on the Offensive Line, look at the offensive line depth chart now and the the start of last season. We have been way too shallow, right now we have no back ups (with experience) for C/LG/RG/LT. Go back to 10/1/2013 and lelito was everyones back up.
Ourlads' NFL Depth Chart Archive

As unattractive as the proposition sounds, I think we pick up at least 2 Offensive linemen in the draft. A C/G and a T/G or a C and a T/G.

I also think in a way our Screen game effects our short passing and running game but that is a different discussion. The threat of the Screen makes LBs stay home and that puts them right there in the short middle passing and running lanes.

I think you misunderstood the OP. it was who are you needing to leave the draft with, not who in what round. Picks 1-2 are generally BPA, after that we are looking for depth and diamonds in the rough.

We are short on both cap space and depth on the OL, we cant afford to not come out of the draft with a couple of OL.
